MCKESSON
GLOBAL PROCUREMENT AND SOURCING

After forming a longstanding working relationship with McKesson Global Procurement and Sourcing and completing a number of projects in their portfolio, work.place.create were invited to help the client with a high speed, cost effective move and office design in their new space. The location would consolidate the client into the same building as a partner group. The biggest challenge with the move was to condense their previous 8,880 sqft of office space into the available 4,000 sqft floor plate, split across two separate suites. One suite would be catered to clients, with a lounge and meeting rooms, and the other to staff in a hybrid working environment. The space had to cater to the requirements of different staff teams and their varying activities, the key points of which were determined through staff questionaries and engagement sessions.

The overall aim of the project was to create a warm and inviting space that would encourage staff to utilise the office as a collaborative hub and draw them back from working at home. This softer feel was achieved through a blend of textures, wood finishes and a muted but varied colour palette, a stark contrast to their previously very white, corporate office design. The large breakout area was designed to have a different look and feel to the office area, created through exposing the ceiling and including feature acoustic baffles and lighting. A variety of furniture settings allow staff to use the space flexibly for smaller team meetings or whole office townhalls.

A range of places for individual and collaborative working are provided across the office space, which includes individual phone booths, a range of meeting room sizes and cellular offices. A wellness room is tucked away with soft seating and dimmable wall lighting for staff to take a break from the office if required.

What our client said about us

“work.place.create. were selected as lead consultant on our Russell Square project as a result of an extremely effective ten year working partnership working on our property portfolio across the U.K. Nick and his team are passionately engaged on every project they undertake. Nick goes to whatever lengths it takes to make sure that every detail of our project is perfect at each stage from concept thought to occupancy and beyond. Nick provided a creative and dedicated service, which focused on delivering an agile and effective workspace environment which met the demanding requirements of two different JV partners. Nick said that the space could be built in ninety days and that is just what he did! Great job Nick. Thank you.” | Paul Collins
