SELECTAGLAZE

work.place.create were appointed to evaluate an existing office, and redesign and refurbish this workspace for a new client in St Albans.

Strategically located close to London to access a large stock of traditional buildings requiring modern solutions, Selectaglaze is acknowledged as the leading UK specialist in secondary glazing. As testament to their quality of service, product and knowledge, Selectaglaze were granted a Royal Warrant back in 2004.

The principal aim of this office redesign in St Albans was to create an improved workplace environment that allows the staff to work more effectively and efficiently, whilst encouraging collaborative work between relevant teams. Selectaglaze were looking for an interior space that is both functional and creative, bold and inspiring. All employees should feel part of the main office and be able to experience the buzz of a modern, multi-cultural and progressive business.

Originally a workspace that felt cramped, it is now a space designed to accommodate the needs of different current business functions as well as being adaptable to future workspace requirements. The final result offers a spacious open-plan layout with a modern feel, incorporating the Selectaglaze brand throughout. The space offers a brand-new aesthetic for the Alban Park workplace, with an inviting, fresh and memorable design that also takes full advantage of incoming natural daylight.

The new reception feels in cohesion with the rest of the workplace and also offers an area where customers can view products on display. Additionally, meeting rooms have been strategically placed in close proximity to continue any further formal discussions one-on-one, as well as offering accommodation for larger board meetings. In the open plan office, a spacious and individual spot for all administrative employees has been allocated, as well as the addition of ad-hoc tables providing a base for infrequent installers visiting the office.
